The LA Galaxy will take on Manchester United on July 23rd as a warm up for United's participation in the second annual ICC tournament, according to a report from Manchester United's US Supporters Group. The report comes off an official release by United that they will be touring the US this summer, and a Sports Illustrated report showing the team's involvement in ICC.
The Guardian, reacting to the official ICC news, mentioned that United could have a scheduling issue should they qualify for one of the Europa League spots due to their finish in the EPL table. Europa League qualification would begin in late July, so it's too early to take this news as concrete.
One thing making this friendly seem impossibly timed is that it's sandwiched between away matches in Kansas City and Seattle. That's a lot of travel wear and tear to have to play Manchester United in between.
Even if the club doesn't make it to LA, United fans do have the opportunity to see their current championship trophy and other memorabilia at an event this Friday in Century City.
