Galaxy and Its Stars Getting Hot at the Right Time

The Galaxy are on a roll as of late, as they recently notched a six match unbeaten streak and are steadily climbing the power rankings.

The club's record currently stands at 19-8, as they're ranked 6th in the Western conference. Most recently, the Galaxy enjoyed a 3-2 come from behind win against the New England revolution.

Their success has been due in large part to Chris Pontius, who scored two goals in this matchup.

In terms of power rankings, a lot of soccer publications have the Galaxy ranked at 7th or 8th in the Power Rankings. The club gets a lot of acclaim throughout the league as well due to the recent acquisition of Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He wasn't at his best with the club due to not being able to recover from nagging injuries. He recently spoke out about this experience, including being released by the team. Ibrahimovic revealed that he even offered to play for Manchester United for free, since he knew had a lot of good soccer left in him.

However, the club's loss has been the LA Galaxy's gain, as Ibrahimovic has notched 11 goals in 14 league play games.

Ibrahimovic even said that he encouraged Manchester United not to select him last year because he knew he wasn't back to full form yet. His injuries seem to have been a non-issue since joining the Galaxy, which has allowed him to forge a nice one-two punch along with Pontius.

There's a lot of soccer left to be played, and the Galaxy appear to be getting hot at the right time. They're rounding into playoff form and will definitely have their work cut out for them as they climb the ranks in the Western Conference. A playoff run would be a big boost in the club's morale, since they didn't qualify last season.
