Saturday at 12:00 PT is the historic first of many duels between five-time MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club. (Unlike Chivas USA who suffered a painful demise, LAFC aren’t going anywhere. The stadium’s built, the training facility’s on the way, and yeah, not gonna happen)
Also: Special guest Zlatan Ibrahimović is set to debut, with the Swedish superstar scheduled to fly into LA Thursday night and train the next day.

Earlier this week we asked Galaxy supporters to pick a name for the rivalry and El Tráfico was the decisive winner, pocketing a neatly wrapped 51% of the vote. However, we do plan on utilizing 110 Derby, a name with crosstown appeal as an alternate and hashtag, just because it’s too good not to use.

If you’ve got tickets, get to the stadium early. The Galaxy recommend arriving two hours before kickoff, so bet on a packed StubHub Center. There’s an equipment sale at the southeast entrance, and tailgating is allowed in Lots 10-13. (Want to avoid driving? Check out the Galaxy Express)
