The LA Galaxy currently have all three of their Designated Player spots filled, but rumors starting to swirl that their lowest paid DP might be on his way out after this summer's World Cup. With a good showing at the cup Gonzalez' stock would be at its highest point, and there seems to be one or two clubs in Mexico willing to make a transfer.
Just learned that @Omar4Gonzalez is on shortlist for a big Mexican team's shopping spree next summer.

So far, the biggest summer moves that are planned out are Oribe Peralta to Chivas and Omar Gonzalez joining America or Cruz Azul.

If this sounds familiar, it's because the Omar Gonzalez to Club America rumors go back to 2011. Last year Gonzalez admitted that not only had America expressed interest, he'd expressed intrest back. Then came the Designated Player signing.
Even after the signing, the rumor was that the Galaxy signed Gonzalez specifically so they could transfer him after the World Cup instead of letting him go for free in the winter transfer window.
New reports from Club América stating that CB and captain Mosquera is on his way out. A push for Omar Gonzalez would ensue.

That's three reports from the same reporter on the same rumor in about a week's time, but surely he must know something to continue persisting.
