Landon Donovan has scored a goal for the LA Galaxy in the second half of the LA match against the Philadelphia Union breaking the all-time MLS scoring record with 135 goals. Donovan recently returned from United States national team camp where he was cut from the World Cup roster; he tied the all-time MLS record with a brace during the Galaxy's match against Chivas USA at the beginning of October 2013.
Donovan set the record in fewer games than Jeff Cunningham took to get to 134 breaking the record in 2011. Cunningham broke Jaime Moreno's then-record of 133, which the Bolivian footballer reached that mark in 2010. In 2004 Jason Kreis broke Roy Lassiter's then record of 88.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau Landon Donovan has scored 63 goals at StubHub Center, the second highest total for one venue in MLS history.
