Thinking about attending El Trafico VI? Might want to sell a kidney.
After the LA Galaxy defeated Minnesota United on the road Sunday night to advance to the Western conference semis to confirm a Thursday night matchup vs. LAFC at Banc of California Stadium, fans of both LA clubs flocked in third-party sites in search of relief.
Good luck with that. As of 10:00 P.M. Sunday night the cheapest seat in the house for Thursday’s barnburner is $195 for a ticket on the south end on Ticketmaster. It’s a similar story with SeatGeek: $234 buys you the luxury of a south end seat. Prices for Tuesday’s NBA opener between the Clippers and Lakers aren’t that expensive.
The second-market price for tickets to Thursday's @LAFC-@LAGalaxy playoff game at Banc of California is as high as $3,500 this morning @MLS

This comically bad uncharging is likely due to two factors. A) It’s El Trafico, duh. And B) Speculative scalpers who buy season tickets specifically to charge a fortune for high-demand matches.
At this point your best bet is to come up with some kind of strategy and monitor third-party sites religiously. What’s your budget? How much are you willing to put down to attend this match? Prices should gradually decline at some point and that’s when you need to strike.
Godspeed.
Update: As expected, prices are down. Get ‘em while you can.
