The LA Galaxy face Arizona United tonight in US Open Cup play, a good chance to retain fitness over the World Cup break. Looking at tonight's lineup, it's clear either Arena felt it mean to play his DPs against a lower division side or it was understood that this is their time off to do as they please. Arena does shake up the formation, using a 4-3-3 to get both Zardes and Hoffman in the match with Samuel falling down the depth chart a bit. I imagine Sarvas' exclusion is more fitness related, not wanting to risk a re-injuring in Arizona.
