Vote: LA Galaxy 2020 Defender of the Year

Which member of the backline was tops?

MLS: Seattle Sounders FC at LA Galaxy Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

The LA Galaxy had a tough season, no question about it, but let’s take a look back at what happened this year by beginning with a few awards here on LAG Confidential.

First up, Defender of the Year. Yes, it wasn’t a vintage year for the defense, but they gave it a strong effort and had good moments at times.

Every player who played a competitive game with the Galaxy in 2020 in defense is in contention for this one. I know we just passed voting season, but cast your ballot here and let us know who you picked in the comments below.

For reference, and in no way meant to necessarily sway your vote one way or another, Emiliano Insua led the team in minutes played among the defenders, while Daniel Steres, Rolf Feltscher, Julian Araujo and Nick DePuy played in the majority of games during the season.
