Some changes will be made to this starting XI against the San Jose Earthquakes tomorrow evening.

Goalkeeper: Kempin

Despite the 2-0 loss to the Columbus Crew Wednesday might, Jon Kempin showed that he has what it takes to be the number one goalkeeper in this organization. He stopped two penalties and kept the Galaxy in the match for long stretches of time.

Defense: Van Anholt, Steres, Romney, Garcia

Ashley Cole is suspended for the match against the Earthquakes after pick up an early. In his absence, Rafa Garcia switched to left back after starting in midfield. Expect the same tomorrow evening. Otherwise, it’ll be an unchanged back line.

Midfield: J. Dos Santos, Pedro

With Giovani dos Santos available for selection according to Sigi Schmid, it is likely that Jonathan dos Santos will move back into a deeper midfield position.

Attacking midfield: Boateng, G. dos Santos, Alessandrini

Schmid also noted that he was hopeful that Alessandrini could make the starting XI tomorrow evening. If so, this will be a big boost the attacking core that lacks a little bit of creativity at the moment.

Forward: Zardes

It seems to be that, even with his struggles, the coach will more than likely slot Gyasi Zardes up top.
