Tonight, the LA Galaxy return home to face off against the high-flying New York City FC.

Here’s how Sigi Schmid should line up at the StubHub Center.

Goalkeeper: Rowe

There’s not much you can do if your team can’t score goals, and that’s what Brian Rowe is facing right now. He’s perform admirably since his return from injury. But he can only carry the team so far.

Defense: Cole, Romney, Steres, Jones, Van Anholt

We saw Jermaine Jones slide into the defense after Jonathan dos Santos made his debut last time out. Could this be the start of a back five back line?

In order to keep everyone happy with playing time, this might be the answer.

Midfield: J. Dos Santos, Pedro, Alessandrini

Now that he has finally for reals been with the squad all week how is JDS going to blend with the squad? He’s more of a midfielder than his brother. But is he going to help out on the defensive side of the ball? Or will he be focused on attack as well?

It’ll be interesting to see how he fits in this possible formation.

Forwards: G. Dos Santos, Zardes

Giovani dos Santos always plays better when he’s plays as a second striker, rather than sitting directly behind. He can operate the spaces better this way. We’ll just have to wait and see though if he actually contributes against NYCFC.

It’s a late kickoff as the match isn’t scheduled until 8:00 PM PST. But follow along as we’ll provide you updates with all the action from the Stubby!
