Before we get to clippings, first a couple nuggets of news. MLS announced the dates of each team's home opener for the 2013 season known as First Kick. The Galaxy will open up 2013 on March 3rd, their earlier opening to an MLS season ever. They will face the Chicago Fire on this Sunday; kickoff and broadcast info will be announced in the coming weeks as part of the full schedule announcement. MLS is sticking with a 34 match schedule next year.
NASN is reporting that MLS is working with USL-Pro to do a combined third tier - reserve league (link). If an MLS team has a USL-Pro team nearby (the Galaxy have the Los Angeles Blues) they shall provide five players and pay their salary. How this would affect rosters is unclear, as if there isn't a USL-Pro team nearby the MLS reserve team will become a USL-Pro team. This seems like it would decentivize (new word) teams like the Galaxy from holding a full reserve roster, but we'll see as more details come out.
Now, first up in the LA Galaxy news roundup of news items related to the LA Galaxy, Brian Straus gives his breakdown of the Buddle trade:

Then, David Beckham tells Australia thanks, but no thanks:

Finally, the LA Daily News has a wrap-up of all the recent Galaxy transactions, but you already read all this here at LAG Confidential of course:
