Week two of the USL eCup FIFA20 tournament is in the books, and LA Galaxy II had a strong showing in the beginning of the Nations League-style phase of the competition.

Los Dos went to the weekly final of the Division C bracket, where they fell to Indy Eleven 5-1 on Friday. The tournament, a FIFA 20 competition with the teams playing as the same international team throughout, Sweden for the Galaxy, Indy Eleven with Ivory Coast.

The loss was a downer for the week, but the good news is LA booked promotion to Division B for next week, after they downed Tacoma Defiance 3-0 and Birmingham Legion 3-1 in the leadup to the weekly final.

Los Dos’ team is current player Jorge Hernandez and Bruce Martin, a Twitch streamer and Galaxy supporter.

The overall winner of the tournament is the team with the most points. The higher your level, the more points you earn. If you are relegated, you lose points. Since Los Dos started in the lowest division, they have work to do to get caught up with the big boys, but since it’s only Week 2 of a six-week tournament, hope is not lost.

You can watch LA Galaxy II’s matches next week in USL eCup FIFA20 on the Galaxy’s Twitch channel. The schedule will be available here on the USL Championship’s website.

Congrats to Los Dos on the promotion and best of luck next week!
