The LA Galaxy are playing their 25th season this year, and ahead of first kick Saturday against the Houston Dynamo, it’s worth thinking about the expectations for the season ahead.
The bar is set very high for LA, as the team with the most MLS Cups, with the most regular-season wins in league history, and an illustrious track record of quality on the field. Being a middle of the pack team isn’t good enough for the Galaxy.
But still...it’s been a lean stretch by team standards, although last year was promising with a playoff return and win on the road. Now, what’s a realistic aspiration for the Galaxy in 2020? Sure, you would like to see them win all the trophies, but what would constitute success for this team this year in your eyes?
