Another player has officially departed the LA Galaxy this offseason, as defender Rolf Feltscher was announced as a new signing Wednesday for German club Würzburger Kickers.

Würzburger currently play in the German second division, after being promoted last season. Aside from one season at the same tier in the past decade, the club is not a big club internationally, as they’ve mostly played in the third division and below for the most part. That context likely helps explain their league position, at the bottom with just four points through 12 games so far this season.
On the flipside, this definitively closes the door on Feltscher’s tenure with the Galaxy. He played 57 regular-season games across three seasons, scoring two goals and nine assists as a right back. While the Venezuelan international definitely brought some attributes to the table (size, most notably, and experience around the world) he also took some off (defensive lapses, notable moments of lack of focus). This would seem to clear the table for Julian Araujo to become the undisputed starter for LA ... unless Juventus come swooping in to buy him this offseason or something.
But anyway, Feltscher has moved on. Best of luck to him in Germany.
