Iconic musician Dave Grohl is a legit soccer guy, and not just your garden-variety American rock star who does a European tour and collects a few hospitality kits.
The entire band is actually. Last year Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett, members of The Struts and some roadies hung out at the FCD training complex during a day off tour. Which to their credit is a totally cool thing to do, and something more bands should look into actually. (If anyone knows how to get in touch with At the Drive In, they’re more than welcome to show up at Galaxy training and kick a ball around)
Anyway, with that in mind it wasn’t too surprising to see Grohl show up at Saturday’s season opening LA Galaxy win vs. the Chicago Fire with his kids. The tweet below is Dave posing with a card carrying member of #GalaxyTwitter.
We keep forgetting Dave Grohl was randomly strolling around the stadium last night. pic.twitter.com/A75H5DgFTT

Nice to him to spend a few moments with the fans and avoid staying cooped up in a luxury receptacle. Hopefully we’ll see him and his family again soon.
