In a reunion that Galaxy fans will surely celebrate, Brazilian midfielder Juninho has returned to the LA Galaxy after the club shipped $75,000 in General Allocation Money to the Chicago Fire.
As you may recall, Juninho was a key figure in the center of the park during the most successful period of LA’s history, bringing three MLS Cups to the StubHub Center and plenty of memories as well. Who could forgot his game-winning goal vs. Morelia in the 2011 CONCACAF Champions League, or his strike on the road in Seattle that put the Galaxy into the 2014 MLS Cup?
“I am very excited to welcome back such a talented and well-respected player to our club,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “Juninho knows what it means to represent the LA Galaxy and will be a leader on and off the field for our players. He is a valuable addition to our roster.”
