Ibra is officially back for 2019.

Originally reported last week and reinforced with a teaser clip yesterday, the news is finally public.

After tallying 22 goals and 10 assists last season and taking the league by storm, Ibrahimovic will return to the Galaxy in 2019 as a Designated Player.

“We are very pleased to sign Zlatan to a new contract that will see him return for the 2019 season,” LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese declared in a statement. “He showed his value last season and we look forward to him representing our club next year. With Zlatan returning, we will continue to improve our team in advance of the season.”

Of course this means LA currently have four DPs on the books, meaning one of Romain Alessadrini, Giovani dos Santos or Jonathan dos Santos will have to depart. (With JDS currently on a postseason Herbalife tour with his teammates, right now our money’s on Gio)
