Jelle Van Damme and Giovani dos Santos added to 2017 MLS All-Star roster

Duo will battle Real Madrid Aug. 3rd at Soldier Field

MLS: FC Dallas at Los Angeles Galaxy Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Good news for Jelle and Gio! This morning the league announced the pair were named to the 2017 MLS All-Star roster by Chicago Fire manager Veljko Paunović. The All-Stars will take on Champions League winners Real Madrid Aug. 3rd at Soldier Field, live at 6 p.m. on Fox Sports One and Univision.

Admittedly, Galaxy fans might not be as hyped for this year’s All-Star Game with so many worries at home, but at their best, Jelle and Gio have been worthy contenders.

(And yeah Romain Alessandrini was probably robbed, but you can’t get injured if you’re not playing so the supporters will be fine)
