After shocking New York Red Bulls at home, the Galaxy continue their road trip across the United States as they visit MLS newcomers Minnesota United.
To put it simply, the Galaxy’s 3-1 win over the Red Bulls last week was a much-needed result for Curt Onalfo’s men. Special praise has to be reserved for Romain Alessandrini who scored twice, but all things considered, it was a fantastic performance from all of the squad, especially after making the cross-country trip to New Jersey.
The second stop in the Galaxy’s four game road trip is at Minnesota United, who they are tied with in the Western Conference with 11 points. Like the Galaxy, “The Loons” have struggled to put together consecutive winning performances this season, but have fared a little better at home, where they have earned all three of their wins.
Given that Minnesota United is a new franchise, this will mark the Galaxy’s first ever visit to TCF Bank Stadium. Everybody knows how hard it is to win road games in Major League Soccer, and that reemphasizes again how big last week’s win in New Jersey was. Against Minnesota United, LA will hope to use that as inspiration as they search for another big win away from home.
