A former Sounder has re-united with Sigi Schmid in Los Angeles: With the first pick in the second stage of the Re-Entry draft, the LA Galaxy selected 27-year-old Servando Carrasco from Orlando City SC.
Stage 2 Re-Entry Draft results:

The defensive midfielder is a seven-year MLS veteran, logging 126 appearances with two goals and five assists for the Lions as well as Sporting Kansas City, the Houston Dynamo and with Sigi in Seattle.
It’s not the sexiest signing, but a welcome one. LA have 15 roster spots to fill and the Galaxy need players on the depth chart who aren’t welcome fodder to other clubs. Furthermore the Galaxy could use a defensive midfielder, and clearly Schmid trusts him, so why not?
LA have a week to negotiate with Carrasco and make a Bona Fide offer. (Bet on that happening)
Carrasco was one of three players picked up today in Stage 2: D.C. United acquired New York Red Bulls power-sub Gonzalo Veron while LAFC scooped up a Calum Mallace that contributed to the Montreal Impact but failed to appear for the Sounders in 2017.
