LA Galaxy vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: Game time, TV schedule and live stream for MLS

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

It's 4th of July weekend. While many will be out and about celebrating the holiday, the LA Galaxy will be back home at StubHub Center to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps.

After a big win over the Portland Timbers in the U.S. Open Cup, Bruce Arena's side return to league play where they are winless in their last seven league games.

If they are to claim their first win since early May, they will have to do it without left back Ashley Cole, who picked up a red card against the San Jose Earthquakes in last week's Cali Clasico.

Nonetheless, the Galaxy should be boosted by the returns of Gyasi Zardes and Robbie Keane after the forward duo missed all of last month's games through international duty.

The Whitecaps, meanwhile, arrive to this game on the back of a heartbreaking defeat to Toronto FC in the Canadian Championship final. That said, Carl Robinson's side are unbeaten in their last three games against the Galaxy, including a 1-0 victory at StubHub center last season.

As such, with the Galaxy reaching the halfway point of the season, victories are becoming more important with every passing week. The hope now for the Galaxy is that fans will be celebrating more than Independence Day at the end of the night.
