Back to where everything seems rosy and optimistic. That's now two straight wins for the LA Galaxy, and they have the chance of making it three as they play host to the Houston Dynamo on Friday.
Two Robbie Keane goals in the last two games certainly haven't hurt Bruce Arena's men. A captain's natural job is to lead by example, and that's what Keane has done since returning from international duty. It's a reminder of just how good Keane can still be at 36 years old. The captain is hitting his stride, and with it, the hope the Galaxy can use that as inspiration for the second half of the season.
Keane and co., though, won't have the help of Nigel de Jong and Ashley Cole for this match. De Jong received an additional game of suspension for his tackle on Blas Perez, while Ashley Cole is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
In truth, the Houston Dynamo haven't had the best of seasons. The club parted ways with manager Owen Coyle back in May, leaving former San Jose Earthquakes defender Wade Barrett in charge. They currently sit penultimate in the Western Conference and remain winless away from home.
If history were to repeat itself, the Galaxy won't mind. These teams already met once this season with the Galaxy thrashing the Dynamo 4-1 thanks to a Giovani dos Santos double.
