Robbie Keane Signs Contract Extension with LA Galaxy

The Galaxy's talisman and reigning MLS MVP is here to stay!

The latest piece of big news regarding the LA Galaxy has just rolled in: Robbie Keane has signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him in LA for the foreseeable future.

The reigning MLS MVP is coming off of a season in which he scored 19 goals and added 14 assists along the way to helping the Galaxy win their fifth MLS Cup title.

In just 91 appearances with the Galaxy since joining the club in 2011, Keane has scored 55 goals and tallied 36 assists while playing a huge part in the last three of the Galaxy's MLS Cup titles, scoring or assisting during the final in 2011, 2012, and 2014.

The specific terms of the contract were not disclosed, per club and league policy, but Keane's new deal keeps him in LA Galaxy colors for a while longer, which is certainly something to celebrate if you love winning championships.
