Another week, another MLS Player of the Week awarded to Landon Donovan by the North American Soccer Reporters. He scored two penalty kick goals and had two assists to go along with them. This is his third such honor this season as well as his second in a row. He's the only player to get Player of the Week three times, and was awarded Player of the Month for August.
In his final MLS season, it wouldn't be surprising if Donovan leads the early MVP handicapping.
That game also saw another twenty-six pass long sequence leading to a goal get nominated for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week. This time around it's Baggio Husidic who capped off the unbroken pass sequence in the 30th minute to give the Galaxy their second goal of the day. On the pass chart it looks something like this, the first pass in the middle of the 28th minute.
