Baggio Husidic and Robbie Keane shared the honor for the best Match Impact Rating for their performance against Chivas USA in the LA Galaxy's 3-0 win on Sunday at the StubHub Center.
Husidic and Keane both had a MIR of 89.1 while playing the full 90 minutes as the away side. Both players had a goal and an assist in the match and took three shots while committing one foul and drawing two fouls. Keane had all three shots find the target compared to two by Husidic. The other difference was that Keane was caught offside twice in the match. The 89.1 was easily the best MLS MIR by a Galaxy player this season, topping the previous high of 56.8 tallied by Keane against Real Salt Lake on March 22.
Landon Donovan and Stefan Ishizaki also bested the previous season-high MIR with an 80 and 76.4, respectively. Donovan had two assists in the match, took five shots (one on target), committed two fouls and drew two fouls in 90 minutes. Ishizaki did his damage in just 57 minutes of action, scoring one goal from his two shots and suffering a foul while committing none.
Defender Dan Gargan also had a match worth pointing out. Gargan notched an assist on the Keane game-winner, committed one foul (a yellow card) and drew one foul in 85 minutes for a MIR of 41.6.
