Robbie Keane voted MLS Player of the Week for week 25

Robbie Keane was voted MLS Player of the Week for his hat trick performance against Real Salt Lake.

For the second week in a row, an LA Galaxy player has won MLS Player of the Week with Robbie Keane's second hat trick in 2013 earning him the honor for the second time this year. LA have four of the six hat tricks managed in the 2013 MLS season, and each hat trick hero has won Player of the Week for that week.

All three goals came after halftime, starting in the 56 minute. Juninho sent a ball to the top of the box from the sideline where Keane collected it, turned and shook his marker, then slid the ball inside the right post. He then kissed his right wrist and pointed to the sky.

Just over ten minutes later, Keane ran onto a Sean Franklin cross; volleying in the LA Galaxy's second goal of the night while taking a tumble.

Omar Gonzalez scored the match winner, but Keane was able to give LA some insurance in the 86th minute. Franklin played the ball over the Salt Lake defense, and then Keane was able to chip it over Nick Rimando for his third goal.

A second straight solid performance for the Galaxy offense, with a better job of not giving up set pieces near the penalty area. Well deserved player of the week for Robbie Keane.
