The United States defeated Belize 6-1 on Tuesday in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup and was paced by three points on the scoresheet from both San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski (sporting his Wondowlowski jersey) and LA Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan. The pair also led the U.S. Men's National Team in Match Impact Rating performance (Castrol Index ratings for the match not yet available).
Wondolowski's hat trick gives him four goals in 2013 for the USMNT and ties him for second with Jozy Altidore and leaves him one away from team leader Clint Dempsey. Wondo took five shots on the night and put three on target to lead the USA in MIR at 106.5.
Donovan became the first 50-goal, 50-assist man in U.S. Soccer history with a pair of assists on Tuesday. Donovan had already bagged goal number 50 in a warmup against Guatemala on July 5. LD also scored a goal from the penalty spot in the match against Belize for an MIR of 103.5.
