LA Galaxy Injury Update: Donovan In Puerto Rico, Several Starters Left Behind

The facts are these. Landon Donovan and David Beckham are still listed as questionable for the Galaxy on the new Injury Report. Given how the Galaxy reserves handled Puerto Rico last time, expect a similar lineup tonight. However, as this match is key if the Galaxy want to put all the pressure on Isidro Metapan going forward, there might be some first teamers sprinkled in there.

We know Josh Saunders, Sean Franklin, and Bryan Jordan aren't there, as they stayed behind to help the Galaxy donate a new soccer field to Sunrise Elementary School and Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA. The players were on hand to give the kids a soccer clinic on the newly completed field.

We also know that Bruce Arena left behind Omar Gonzalez, Mike Magee, Robbie Keane and David Beckham as appeared in Adam Serrano's report from the island nation. In that same report, he writes that Michael Stephens and Hector Jimenez expect to start on the right flank.

I think we'll see a youth movement starting lineup, but with three starters coming off the bench this time. Landon Donovan, Christian Wilhelmsson and Edson Buddle all need the rehab minutes, and an extra goal in the last twenty minutes could put the group out of reach from Isidro Metapan with a convincing victory.
