The LA Galaxy U-18 team travels to Spain next month to take place in a youth tournament, and the travel roster includes Homegrown players Jack McBean and Jose Villarreal. The Real Sociedad Youth Tournament is the first ever international tournament the Galaxy U-18 squad has participated in. They qualified for the tournament by winning the Generation Adidas Cup in Dallas last August.

After training in Madrid and playing a warm up game against Rayo Vallecano, the Galaxy will travel to San Sebastian to start tournament play. The club has been placed in Group A with Spanish sides Valencia CF, C.A. Osasuna and host Real Sociedad SAD. Group B of the eight-team tournament is comprised of RC Celta de Vigo (Portugal), RCD Espanyol, Olympiakos (Greece) and Gipuzkoa Konbinatua.

The U-18's had a good go of it last weekend, winning both their matches. On Saturday, in the rain, they took on the San Jose Earthquakes and won 4-1. Midfielders Drew Murphy and Willie Raygoza both scored two goals before the half-time whistle. On Sunday they took on Cal Odyssey, a San Jose Earthquakes partner, and also won that match 4-1 with Jose's brother Jamie Villarreal factoring in on two of the goals; assisting the first and scoring the last.

The Galaxy U-12's won the Cal South National Cup over the weekend, defeating Pateadores 1-0 in the championship game. By winning this 32 team tournament, the team moves onto the Far West regionals, where they could qualifying for the Youth National Championships.
