LA Galaxy star Chicharito voted MLS Player of the Week

Another week, two more goals and Chicharito is once again on top of MLS, as the LA Galaxy forward has been voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 10 of the 2021 MLS regular season.

Chicharito’s brace in the 3-1 Cali Clasico win on Saturday at the San Jose Earthquakes powered LA to victory and took him into the MLS Golden Boot lead again. Both finishes were tap-ins or toe pokes on the doorstep, but what was impressive in particular was the Mexican initiating the attack on a give-and-go on both of his goals scored in the win.

Now up to 10 goals on the season to date, Chicharito’s Player of the Week award is his third of the season, joining the opening two weeks when he scored five goals in two games. He was also the MLS Player of the Month for April/May.
