Tonight we'll witness the first meeting of the California Clasico at The Home Depot Center as the San Jose Earthquakes travel south down highway 101 to take on the struggling LA Galaxy. The home Galaxy are looking to shed a five match winless streak, now in last place in the Western conference following their first loss to Chivas USA in five seasons. The Quakes are hoping to make LA part of le festin they've been having full of MLS teams lately, including two back to back dramatic draws with last minute goals.

They'll have to do it without the man who has feasted more than any other goalscorer in MLS thus far, Chris Wondolowski. The 2010 Golden Boot winner and 2011 Castrol Index winner is in Florida training with the United Stated national team. Also in Florida is LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan. The Galaxy will also be without the services of Robbie Keane, who has joined the Ireland camp.

Though historical streaks have not held up well for the Galaxy recently, just look at Chivas or the New England Revolution, LA has not been beaten by San Jose in The Home Depot Center since 2005. Since the Quakes returned to the league in 2008, the Galaxy have won three of the four meetings with one draw.

According to the Tuesday injury report, Edson Buddle and David Junior Lopes are officially off the injury report, although Lopes is not available Wednesday serving his one match suspension for the red card on Saturday. Leonardo is still on as questionable, but was listed in the 18 man roster on Saturday so he should be available. Joining him as question is A.J. DeLaGarza with a right heel bruise. DeLaGarza has been asked to play a ton of minutes in the middle of the line with a revolving door of partners.

Probable lineup: Perk; Franklin, DeLaGarza, Leonardo, Dunivant; Magee, Beckham, Juninho, Nakazawa; Buddle, Noonan.
