Today the LA Galaxy announced the extension of several corporate partnerships, on the heels of the 10 year $44 million partnership with Herbalife announcement. This includes a local partnership with Adidas, Athlete's Performance, Continental Tire, UPS, Macy's, Konica, and Welk Resorts Group. Financial details of these deals were not released.

"We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with all of our clients," said Bill Pedigo, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships. ‘The renewal of these partners and the continuation of rest of the Galaxy partner portfolio has vaulted the club to tremendous year over year growth and keeps Galaxy at the top of the MLS charts in terms of partnerships."

From a fan perspective, these partnerships have an effect on the game day experience. Stadium giveaways such as the Championship Banners given out at the home opener always come with a presenting partner. Local money is always what gets put into DP contracts and the development system which are so important to the present and future of the team.

Speaking of that Adidas partnership, we don't usually highlight player meet and greets but as the Adidas event seems to have been a hot topic on twitter we did want to address it. What we've been told by Adidas is that the first 175 people to make a purchase of $75 or more at the Santa Monica Third Street Promenade Adidas store between now and March 23rd will be given a wristband to get into an event on the 23rd where you can meet the team.

It looks like Adidas has more local events planned, so look out for those. These local deals are terribly important when it comes to keeping an individual club up and running.
