Good morning Galaxy fans. Today we'll look deeper at Tommy Meyer's debut, and a tough look at Don Garber's comments to kick off the season. Overall, Meyer looked good in the Galaxy back line, and didn't catch nearly the same flack as Andrew Boyens did on Wednesday. As far as the MLS vs. NASL comparisons, the choices are a domestic development league subsidized by the NFL or a sexy league with foreign stars providing an increased level of competition. That's what high level soccer looks like, and it's expensive. Can MLS meet the challenge to be a high level soccer league that not only develops local talent but keeps it? Time will tell.
