Catch LA Galaxy’s first California Clasico win Thursday afternoon

Going back to where it all began.

Galaxy v Clash Vasquez

If you want to see another cool retro MLS game, as part of a new series on TUDN, the network will be airing the first California Clasico on Thursday afternoon.

The game took place on April 28, 1996, with the LA Galaxy hosting the San Jose Clash at the Rose Bowl. Both sides scored, but the Galaxy pulled through with the crucial win to kick off one of the best rivalries in MLS.

Here’s some quick highlights if you want a taste of the game:

The first California Clasico will air on TUDN at 3 pm PT on Thursday. In the coming weeks there will be more Galaxy games from throughout MLS history aired as part of the network’s programming. All of the games will be Wed-Fri in the 3 pm PT block on TUDN.

Among other things, if you’re a young one or a newcomer to MLS, this game will give you a chance to get to know the Galaxy stars at the beginning. And to see a win over San Jose. Can’t argue with that.
