It’s a glorious day.
Per the LA Galaxy Twitter account, Romain Alessandrini has been spotted jogging on the sidelines. It was expected the Designated Player would return to training at the beginning of September following a four month layoff recovering from knee surgery.

Yup. That's Romain Alessandrini. pic.twitter.com/f10txCYIUQ
For now it seems Romain is working off to the sides but will soon join his teammates in full training. The Frenchman is in great physical condition if not soccer fit, but that should come within a few weeks.
In a season defined by limitations, Guille suddenly has a luxury weapon to work with. At this point in the season it would be a stretch for Alessandrini to try and claim a starting spot, but expect Romain to work his way into the attack as a potential super-sub. A mid-September return might be overly optimistic, but Alessandrini should appear in a match by the end of the month.
