Friday night in Orlando the LA Galaxy rode a first half Jona dos Santos strike to earn a valuable road result and snap a four game losing streak.

2019 SuperDraft pick Emil Cuello earned his first career start in an attacking role on the left wing.
Led by the ageless Nani, Orlando started off pressuring the Galaxy back line but some emergency defending was enough to keep the Lions at bay. In the 18th minute a low Rolf Feltscher cross was poorly cleared in the center of the pitch and Jonathan dos Santos brilliantly passed a swerving shot outside the box past a helpless Brian Rowe to put LA ahead.
Not too long afterwards the Galaxy captain was guilty of turning the ball over inside his own box before tripping over Sebastián Méndez and conceding a needless penalty. David Bingham rose to the occasion, patiently waiting during Nani’s methodical run-up before diving to his left and stoning the Portuguese attacker.
The second half was an exercise in securing a result, and though Orlando relentlessly pressed the Galaxy late, LA held on to win three precious road points.
