Dennis te Kloese has done it again.
Kevin Baxter at the LA Times has confirmed the signing of Uriel Antuna on loan from Manchester City. A direct winger, the 21-year old Mexican has spent the past 18 months in the Netherlands with FC Groningen bouncing between the first team and reserves, not an ideal situation for the talented El Tri youth international.
The @LAGalaxy have completed their signing of 21-year-old Mexican winger Uriel Antuna on loan from @ManCity A formal announcement is expected Monday— Kevin Baxter (@kbaxter11) January 26, 2019
The terms of the deal are unlikely to be disclosed, but the LA Galaxy have probably pulled off another shrewd signing, addressing a real need (a quick, direct pacey winger) without much salary cap space.
Additionally a clip has been making the rounds on social media of Antuna’s partner celebrating the deal, with the couple posing together on Instagram with a freshly minted 5-star jersey before Antuna and Dennis te Kloese sit down to sign the contract. It’s a done deal.
