Leading by example. A cliched expression, but one of importance.
The silhouette of the new LA Galaxy manager during night sessions has been a striking visual the first week of training. Pacing around the pitch with a popped collar, el general is obviously eager to implement his ideas and raise the level of intensity within the squad. The former Boca Juniors boss just left an institution where the pressure is practically baked into the Buenos Aires air, so you’d expect nothing less than a wholly focused demeanor from the Argentine and his staff, including the notorious Javier Valdecantos.

A great example of this leadership was captured yesterday courtesy of an Argentina based SportsCenter. As the clip shows, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic narrowly blasts a free kick over the bar the 2008 MLS MVP steps up and nails a near-post attempt that careens off the crossbar and in.
Looks like Guille’s still got it. Zlatan seemed impressed enough.
