With David Bingham and Brian Sylvestre securely signed, the Galaxy all of a sudden look promising at a position that not too long ago was bare, literally. It appears however, that Kurt Schmid and company aren’t done.

Honduras newspaper La Prensa is reporting 24-year-old Real España goalkeeper Luis “Buba” López has agreed to terms with the LA Galaxy. An exciting young goalkeeper expected to head to the World Cup, Lopez has also received interest from NYCFC, D.C. United and the Houston Dynamo.

According to the mentioned media, the negotiation was made directly with the North American league. the Honduran club accepted the proposal by their player on the sole condition that they sent him the original document to close the deal.

Just last Monday Real España coach Martin Garcia said he saw “Buba” more abroad and even wished him luck in his next professional adventure ”I’ve always said that we will support players when they have an offer where they can improve their conditions. “

At just 5’11”, Lopez is an athletic keeper in the mold of a Nick Rimando, though like Rimando’s early days, the Honduran international can be prone to inconsistent form in front of net. Could we see Lopez in blue white and gold? We’ll know soon enough.
