MLS source confirms reports #LAGalaxy is open to moving F Gyasi Zardes and said the idea has drawn interest from "many teams"

It’s no secret Zardes struggled mightily in 2017 as the Hawthorne native was slow to recover from a knee injury, only posting two goals and two assists in a miserable campaign that was easily his worst year statistically. Things only grew worse for Gyasi when Sigi Schmid deployed Zardes at right back during the season’s dying embers, perhaps sending an early signal that Gyasi was not in his long-term plans.
What do you think about the possibility of moving Zardes? The Galaxy desperately need a productive striker and all three of LA’s DP spots are tied up. LA’s best hope is to sign someone who’s contract can be padded down with TAM. This may require trading an asset or two, paving the way for Gyasi’s departure.
