Finally, Gio is playing for Mexico again.
The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol just announced that Giovani dos Santos has been called up to participate in two domestic friendlies, the first vs. New Zealand in Nashville on Oct. 8th, the second vs. Panama in Chicago on Oct. 11th at Toyota Park, a match you can watch live on UniMás and UDN. (The LA Galaxy forward is the second-to-last face on the right)

Dos Santos last represented El Tri during the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The good news? Gio is scheduled to depart after the FC Dallas match and come back in plenty of time to play for LA on Oct. 15 when the Galaxy battle the Houston Dynamo. There is always the fear of dos Santos picking up a knock, but Gio should be fine.
Will dos Santos receive any playing time? You never know with manager and master tactician Juan Carlos Osorio.
