United States vs. Belgium: Omar Gonzalez in Starting XI

The United States takes on Belgium in an international friendly tonight in preparation for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers. LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez has made the starting lineup.

LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez has made the starting XI for the United States friendly against Belgium tonight. He starts on the back line with Goodson, Beasley, and Cameron. Clint Dempsey is wearing the captain's armband, as today Jurgen Klinsmann named Dempsey the US captain for the foreseeable future with Tim Howard the no. 2.

The US squad will have a US presence on the wings with Brad David and Graham Zusi. With Landon Donovan denied a call-up and Brad Davis being a late call-up it's clear Donovan could have been useful in this camp.

The US vs. Belgium friendly will be broadcast live from Cleveland in high definition on ESPN at 5:00 PDT.
