Could a veteran LA Galaxy defender be on the move?
According to Paul Tenorio at The Athletic and confirmed by multiple sources, Dave Romney is set to be shipped to MLS expansion club Nashville SC for approximately $225,000 in funds. Whether the funds are TAM, GAM or a combination of the two is still unknown.
It would be a shame for the versatile defender who appeared 84 times across five seasons for the Galaxy first team after graduating from Los Dos to depart, but the move was likely to happen sooner or later. Romney was one of the players rumored to be traded earlier in the season to make room for Cristian Pavón before Emmanuel Boateng wound up moving to D.C. United.

With Jorgen Skjelvik also not returning, the question must be asked: Who will be playing left back for Guillermo Barros Schelotto in 2020? It will be interesting to see who Dennis te Kloese brings in this winter.
Adding to Paul’s reporting, a source tells me that the Romney deal includes expansion draft protection for LA. As part of the trade, Nashville agreed to not select any Galaxy players in the expansion draft. https://t.co/UMInjmhASJ
