LA Galaxy re-sign Sebastian Lletget

Da Boy is back!

Sebastian Lletget will be returning to the LA Galaxy in 2020, and this time he’s on a TAM deal.

This morning ahead of the 2019 MLS Expansion Draft, the club officially announced they have signed the gregarious midfielder to a new contract using Targeted Allocation Money. The 27-year old U.S. international was recently a bright spot in CONCACAF Nations League play in a must-win match vs. the Canadians.

In tandem with the irreplaceable Jona dos Santos who’s signed up for the foreseeable future, the Galaxy can now boast of having an elite central midfield spine that’s locked up for years to come. Additionally with Seba’s nemesis riding off into the sunset, there’s a possibility Lletget emerges in 2020 as a freer individual on the field. (Actually there’s a good chance Da Boy isn’t the only one who gets an instant confidence boost next season from not having to share the pitch with Zlatan)
