It’s usually a good omen when a baby announcement arrives right before a big game, right? On the eve of El Trafico comes news that reminds us as big as tomorrow’s contest is for the LA Galaxy, LAFC and the city of Los Angeles, there’s more to life than a soccer match. (No, really)
Galaxy midfielder Serrando Carrasco and US Women’s National Team star Alex Morgan have announced on social media they are expecting their first child in 2020!
We are already in love and we haven’t even met her yet. Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon.
With Morgan scheduled to give birth in April, there is a possibility Morgan could miss the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Carrasco is reading for Thursday’s El Trafico after the MLS veteran participated in Sunday’s road win over Minnesota United.
Now we desperately need to see Carrasco get on the scoresheet. Soccer gods, make it happen.
