Another week, another returning member of the 2018 squad.

The LA Galaxy announced today that Rolf Feltscher has signed a new deal with the club. After the organization originally declined the right back’s contract option, the Venezuelan international agreed to re-negotiate his salary at a lower amount. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

A physical rugged fullback, Feltscher enjoyed a bright start to his Galaxy career before sitting out most of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.

“We are pleased to have Rolf return to our backline,” GM Dennis te Kloese remarked in a statement. “He brings depth, stability, and versatility to our defense and we look forward to his contributions to the LA Galaxy in the upcoming season.”

Before joining the Galaxy in 2017, the defender made nearly 200 professional appearances for clubs throughout Europe, including competition in La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga (Germany) and the Championship (England). He joined the LA Galaxy from Cardiff City of the Championship League.
