Dave Romney re-signs with LA Galaxy

Another member of last year’s squad is coming back.

In recent weeks the likes of Chris Pontius and Ema Boateng have re-signed with the club, and now the left back has followed suit, agreeing to a new deal. The 25-year old versatile defender from Irvine has 72 appearances with the club after graduating from Los Dos and was one of the few consistent performers in the back last season.

“Dave has proven himself to be a dependable and reliable defender in our league,” Dennis te Kloese proclaimed in a statement. “He has been an important part of this club since 2015 and we are pleased to re-sign him. We are excited that Dave will continue to represent the LA Galaxy.”

The terms of the deal were undisclosed, but its a safe bet Romney has earned a sizable raise on the $74,418.75 he earned in 2018. (To put that number in comparison, Daniel Steres earned twice as much)
