Want to know what we think the LA Galaxy starting XI should be against the San Jose Earthquakes? We’ve got you covered!

Goalkeeper: Rowe

Even with Clement Diop back in full training, one would still expect Brian Rowe to be the goalkeeper against the Northern California club.

He’s played well in recent weeks, and is one of the big reasons why the Galaxy are just outside the playoffs. Without him, LA might still be near the bottom of the table.

Defense: Romney, Steres, Van Damme, Cole

Bradley Diallo is back from his suspension, but Curt Onalfo should still stick with Dave Romney in the right back position. Romney is the better of the two and is more solid defending, whereas Diallo maybe prefers to attack a bit more than he should.

Midfield: Pedro, McInerny

Who is going to take over for the injured Baggio Husidic? Onalfo will probably try out a few options to see who best fits. That’s why you shouldn’t be surprised to see Jack McInerny partnering with Joao Pedro today. McInerny has not played much since joining and it is time to prove himself.

Attacking Midfield: Boateng, Dos Santos, Alessandrini

The attacking midfielders have really shown up these last few weeks and that should continue against San Jose. Emmanuel Boateng is as dangerous as ever; Giovani dos Santos is scoring goals again (including THAT audacious attempt); Romain Alessandrini hasn’t slowed down.

If the Galaxy wind up making the playoffs this year, you can thank these three.

Forward: Zardes

No, really, one day Gyasi Zardes will score a goal again. And when he does, it will be a glorious moment. Will Zardes find the back of the net against the Quakes? Wouldn’t that be nice?
