The LA Galaxy, through the LA Galaxy Insider, confirmed that Baggio Husidic will be out for six weeks with a broken fibula.
He lasted only eight minutes against Minnesota United last Sunday afternoon before the injury occurred, when going in for a tackle.
Things were looking good for the Bosnian before being taken off the pitch. The 29-year-old solidified the midfield with Joao Pedro, having started the previous four matches. Now, it looks like Husidic will return sometime during the middle of summer.
Who will replace the veteran midfielder? There aren’t many options out there, but Rafael Garcia did come in for the injured man, although he was outmatched at times.
Jack McInerny is another possible option, but the former Portland Timbers player has not played much this since joining the squad. In fact, McInerny has only played 12 minutes thus far in a match against one of his former clubs, the Philadelphia Union.
We’ll have to wait and see what Curt Onalfo does this Saturday night against the San Jose Earthquakes.
