After a 3-0 thumping at the hands of the Seattle Sounders, the LA Galaxy make it back-to-back games at home as they host the winless Philadelphia Union.
Is it time to panic yet? After losing to the Sounders last week, the Galaxy have now lost three times at home this season, making them the worst home team in the Western Conference after four games played. Things are obviously not right with the five-time champs, and even Giovani dos Santos has gone off to say that the team is paying the price for their offseason changes.
Things, of course, could be worse, and the Philadelphia Union are proof of that. The Union are the only winless team remaining in the Major League Soccer season, and as such, are currently dead-last in the Eastern Conference.
Historically, they also don’t do very hot against the Galaxy. The Union have just been able to beat the Galaxy once since their introduction to Major League Soccer back in 2010.
So, is it time to panic yet? A defeat against the Union would probably mean yes. Talk about an early season must-win match for Curt Onalfo.
